Learning about good food for you

In Te Munang we have been learning about good food so we can be Hathey when we are older. When the bell rang on Friday at morning tea some of the kids went to the four square

22 march

Te Maunga took the ferry to Russell. When we were at Russell we walked to Russell School. When we were at Russell school someone taught us how to not drown. We learnt to float on our backs for five minutes. The one that I liked was when we had to dive in the water and touch the ground then swim to the other side of the pool.

                      My pepeha art

In Te Maunga we were learning about our maunga, awa and waka. First we had to write it at the back of our books. Then we all went on a brand new paper and then we had to draw the same thing from in our book. We had to colour with pastel then we had to draw some patterns with our pencils on our art .

5 march

On Friday March of 5 our school went up the hill because there  was a tsunami warning. We had to go up the hill and lucky for us because Mrs. Lindsay grabbed all of the kids bags so all the kids could eat some lunch. Two people came up the hill with some hot dogs.

SEA CREATURE ACTIVITIES

In Te Maunga we have been learning about Sea Creature Activities. I liked the one when you had to make an x-ray fish. What I learnt about x-ray fish was that it was easy to make.  My favourite part was when we had to glue everything together on the fish. The first thing we did is draw our own fish then when we finished we got a black piece of paper then we had to draw a triangle then we had to cut the triangle then we got something that you can see through then we had to use pipe cleaners for our bones and then we put some eyes on the fish.
